My specialty is Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). The research that I have published has focused on various aspects of English language acquisition, such as pronunciation, reading aloud, and task-based learning.

Task-based language instruction is popular in many countries due to its ability to engage students in natural communication. I would like to explore the effectiveness of this approach with Japanese students, who typically learn English in a more teacher-centered educational context.
